Vitamins are essential to your health and body functions, so not surprising they are staples in skin-care products that help feed the largest organ in your body.

Eating healthy foods and taking a daily multi-vitamin supplement should give your enough, but used on the skin they also have a role to play. Everything from protecting against free-radical damage to treating fine lines and wrinkles, even acne, and helping to fade age spots and problem pigmentation.

 

Vitamin A
It works by binding to receptors in skin cells, strengthening the protective function of the epidermis, protecting collagen and stimulating skin cell turnover. It’s a powerful acne fighter too. Look for retinol or retinyl in ingredients.
